Ubisoft Prepares Assassin

Get ready for a deep dive into Assassin's Creed Shadows! This upcoming installment transports players to feudal Japan, placing them amidst the captivating world of samurai conflicts and political intrigue. The livestream will showcase protagonists Naoe and Yasuke as they navigate quests, explore the Harima Province, and confront formidable adversaries. Developers will also be on hand to answer viewer questions, offering insights into their creative process and vision for this new chapter.

The game, originally slated for a March 20, 2025 release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, has been delayed. According to reputable insider Tom Henderson, this postponement stems from a need to address historical and cultural inaccuracies, as well as to further refine the overall game experience. While rumors circulated about Yasuke's potential removal from the narrative, Henderson clarifies that while his storyline will undergo adjustments, he will remain a key character.

The development challenges faced by the team were multifaceted. The late integration of historical consultants and internal communication issues contributed to the delays. Furthermore, the game's technical readiness is not yet at a release-worthy level, requiring further bug fixing and gameplay adjustments. While these gameplay refinements will take more time, Henderson's sources are confident that the game will launch on Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2025, giving the developers sufficient time to complete the necessary improvements.
