Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Dynasty Warriors: Origins offers three distinct campaigns, each featuring a hidden true ending. To unlock the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction, follow these steps:

First, complete the main Shu campaign. This unlocks the ability to replay completed stages. You'll notice a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban," signifying an alternate scenario. This battle typically involves escorting Liu Bei to safety while Zhang Fei holds off Cao Cao's forces. However, to access the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead of ensuring Liu Bei's escape.

• Reduce Difficulty: Lower the game's difficulty to "Historian" mode. The sheer number of enemies makes this a near-impossible feat on higher difficulties without considerable character progression.

• Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner. This starts you closer to Cao Cao's forces, saving valuable time.

• Musou Meter Management: Ensure your Musou Rage meter is full before engaging Cao Cao's main army. You'll face two Grand Tactics: one requiring the elimination of two officers, and another demanding the defeat of 250 soldiers. A weapon like twin pikes is recommended for efficiently handling large groups of soldiers.

Once Cao Cao's army is routed, defeating him should be relatively straightforward. After this, only a few additional missions remain before you reach the Shu true ending.
