Originally unveiled in March 2019, Bloodlines 2 was initially set for a March 2020 release. Developed by Hardsuit Labs, the game faced its first delay in October 2019, pushing the release to an unspecified date in 2020. Subsequent delays moved it to 2021. Amidst these shifts, several key team members departed, leading to a significant change in February 2021 when Paradox announced that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved, and development was handed over to The Chinese Room. Since then, the game has seen its release date pushed from late 2024 to the first half of 2025, and now to late 2025.
