The wait is over—Lost Records: Bloom and Rage, from the creators of Life is Strange, has arrived

Don't Nod, the French studio behind the acclaimed Life is Strange series, has released the first chapter of their new narrative-driven thriller. Players can now experience Tape 1, with Tape 2 launching free for all owners on April 15th.

Initially unveiled in 2023, the game unravels the mystery surrounding a close group of friends whose lives were irrevocably shattered during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the chilling echoes of that summer return, bringing unforeseen consequences.

Blending the nostalgic atmosphere of coming-of-age stories with the suspense of psychological thrillers like It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, the game is masterfully crafted. The narrative is divided into two parts: Bloom and Rage. Currently, only Bloom, the first half of this haunting tale, is available (February 18th).

The Tape, the second part, originally scheduled for March, will now debut on April 15th. This delay allows the developers to deliver a refined and polished experience.

The review embargo has lifted, revealing a promising start. OpenCritic currently reports an average critic score of 74/100.
