Xbox Announces January's Game Pass Additions

Xbox Game Pass Welcomes a New Year of Gaming with January 2025 Lineup

Microsoft kicks off 2025 with its first Xbox Game Pass lineup announcement, confirming previously leaked titles and adding some surprises. The month of January will see a wave of new additions, alongside several departures.

The lineup, revealed on January 7th, 2025, via the official Xbox blog, includes seven new games. Road 96, a choice-driven adventure title, is immediately available across all Game Pass tiers (including PC Game Pass), marking its return to the service after a previous stint. Six additional games join the roster later in the month:

New Games Arriving in January 2025:

• Road 96: Available now (January 7th)
• Lightyear Frontier (Preview): January 8th
• My Time at Sandrock: January 8th
• Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: January 8th
• Rolling Hills: January 8th
• UFC 5: January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate only)
• Diablo: January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only)

The inclusion of Diablo and UFC 5 confirms earlier rumors, though access is limited to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers (UFC 5 exclusively, Diablo also available on PC Game Pass). The remaining titles are accessible with a standard Game Pass subscription.

Beyond the game additions, several new Game Pass Ultimate Perks are also live as of January 7th, including in-game items for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

Departures from Xbox Game Pass (January 15th):

The announcement also confirms the departure of six games on January 15th:

• Common'hood
• Escape Academy
• Exoprimal
• Figment
• Insurgency Sandstorm
• Those Who Remain

This initial January lineup is just the beginning. Microsoft promises further announcements for the latter half of January and beyond, keeping the excitement going for Xbox Game Pass subscribers throughout the year.
