Xbox Game Pass Adds New Titles in May 2025

Microsoft has officially announced Wave 1 of Xbox Game Pass titles arriving in May 2025.

Through an Xbox Wire post, Microsoft revealed 12 games joining its subscription service through May 20. The standout addition is Doom: The Dark Ages, the newest entry in id Software's legendary FPS franchise. As a Microsoft-owned title, it debuts day-one on Game Pass. But it's not the only premiere hitting the service this month.

Arriving today, May 6, is Dredge (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S), now available across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. Microsoft describes the experience:

Dredge offers a single-player fishing adventure with eerie undertones. Sell your haul, enhance your vessel, and uncover submerged secrets while exploring mysterious islands where some discoveries should remain buried.

May 7 brings multiple Game Pass additions:

  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Cloud, Console, PC) - All tiers
  • Dungeons of Hinterberg (Console) - Standard tier
  • Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (Xbox Series X|S) - Standard tier
  • Metal Slug Tactics (Console) - Standard tier

A major highlight arrives May 8: Revenge of the Savage Planet (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) debuts exclusively on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The premise:

Set in a corporate-controlled future, you play as a discarded employee stranded in deep space. Explore extensively, collect upgrades, and uncover extraterrestrial mysteries to exact revenge on your former employer and return home.

Also launching May 8:

  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed (Cloud, Console, PC) - All tiers

May 13 welcomes back Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (Cloud, Console) to Ultimate and Standard tiers, offering:

  • 4-player co-op battles against Chaos forces
  • 15 career paths and enhanced loot systems
  • Expanded Warhammer Fantasy universe content

The month's centerpiece arrives May 15 - Doom: The Dark Ages (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) launches day-one on Ultimate and PC Game Pass:

This prequel to Doom (2016) and Eternal reveals the Slayer's medieval origins through brutal combat against demonic forces. The Premium Upgrade grants early access, launch DLC, and bonus content.

Following on May 16 is Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo (Cloud, Console, PC), another day-one title featuring:

  • Papercraft-style visuals
  • Time-loop mechanics
  • Exploration of Limbo's cursed inhabitants

The May lineup concludes May 20 with:

  • Firefighting Simulator: The Squad (Cloud, Console, PC)
  • Police Simulator: Patrol Officers (Cloud, Console, PC)
