Xbox Hit Rumored for Nintendo Switch 2, PS5 Debut

Rumor: Halo: MCC and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Headed to PS5 and Switch 2 in 2025

A recent report from industry insider NateTheHate suggests that Halo: The Master Chief Collection could be making its way to PlayStation 5 and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. This alleged port, along with a potential Microsoft Flight Simulator release on these platforms, is reportedly slated for a 2025 launch.

Microsoft's initiative to bring first-party titles to other consoles began in February 2024, with titles like Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves leading the charge. As Dusk Falls, while not directly developed by Microsoft, also joined the multi-platform roster. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched on non-Xbox platforms in October 2024, with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle set for a PS5 release in Spring 2025.

NateTheHate's report indicates that Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a six-game compilation, is a strong contender for this multi-platform expansion. He also hinted at a Microsoft Flight Simulator port, likely referring to the recently released MFS 2024.

More Xbox Games to Go Multi-Platform in 2025

This news is further supported by another prominent leaker, Jez Corden, who tweeted that significantly more Xbox games are destined for PS5 and Switch 2. Corden believes the era of exclusive Xbox titles is over.

The future of Call of Duty on other platforms is also practically guaranteed. Microsoft's ten-year agreement with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo consoles, announced in late 2022, is expected to materialize, likely awaiting the release of the more powerful Switch 2.

This potential shift in Microsoft's strategy could significantly impact the gaming landscape, broadening the reach of some of Xbox's most iconic franchises.
