As one of gaming's most awaited titles in recent memory, Hollow Knight: Silksong will finally offer hands-on access during Australia's National Museum of Screen Culture (ACMI) exhibition. This new demo promises significant enhancements over the 2019 E3 preview version that was largely considered a technical prototype.

The Game Worlds exhibition, running from September 18, 2025, through February 8, 2026, will showcase landmark titles including World of Warcraft, The Sims, and Australia's own Hollow Knight: Silksong. Visitors will experience specially adapted builds alongside original development assets such as concept artwork and iconic props.

In discussions with IGN, ACMI co-curators Bethan Johnson and Jini Maxwell expressed their enthusiasm: "Since its 2019 announcement, Hollow Knight: Silksong has captivated indie game audiences worldwide. We're honored to showcase this South Australian-developed masterpiece as a centerpiece of September's Game Worlds exhibition."

Following its initial reveal, details about Silksong's development have remained scarce. ACMI aims to satisfy fans' curiosity by offering unprecedented access to the sequel's design process during their exhibition.

The curators elaborated: "Our exhibition explores Silksong's intricate design elements - from Hornet's extensive sprite animations and combat mechanics to the strategic foundations behind its punishing boss encounters. Visitors will gain unique insights into the game's artistic vision while experiencing gameplay firsthand."

While the exhibition's timing fuels speculation about Silksong's launch window, developers haven't confirmed specific release dates. Following Silksong's recent appearance during the Switch 2 Direct with a confirmed 2025 window, hopeful players speculate the game might debut during the exhibition period.
