Discover an engaging way to learn about evangelism and foundational Bible teachings with our audio-visual lessons, crafted from the Sunday School Lessons published by the AIC Sunday School Committee in Juba, Southern Sudan. These lessons, adapted for broader use by Global Recordings Network Australia with the permission of the Africa Inland Church, Sudan, are designed to enhance your teaching experience with accompanying audio-visual picture books available from Global Recordings Network.
These lessons emerged as a response to the urgent needs of young teachers stepping into Sunday School roles. The visual aids, in the form of pictures, play a crucial role in making these lessons not only educational but also captivating for learners. Our app boasts a comprehensive suite of features tailored to enrich your teaching journey:
Our app focuses solely on the lesson segment of the Sunday School, with each session designed to last approximately twenty minutes. The rest of the time, including singing, prayer, Bible reading, quizzes, and other activities, is left for teachers to creatively plan. We suggest concluding each lesson with a brief prayer and song that resonate with the week's teachings. These lessons are thoughtfully tailored for children aged 7 to 12, ensuring a broad reach and impact.
When initially tested, teachers found it beneficial to jot down each lesson in an exercise book weekly, keeping them concise yet comprehensive. While some lessons have since been expanded, the core idea remains to provide a succinct yet thorough outline for teachers to build upon in their preparation.
Each story in the lessons begins with a clear aim, steering the teaching focus. Recognizing the limitations of conveying the full scope of God's truth in a single lesson, we encourage teachers to highlight one or two key truths per session, allowing children to gradually deepen their understanding of God.
It's important to note that these lessons are not meant to be read verbatim to the class. Instead, they serve as a guiding tool—a "walking stick" for teachers, rather than a set of "crutches" that might hinder independent teaching.
