For Mathematical Puzzles Lovers
The Towers of Hanoi, also known as the Tower of Brahma and Lucas' Tower, is a captivating mathematical puzzle featuring three rods and a series of disks arranged in descending order of size, forming a conical shape with the smallest disk at the top.
The challenge of the game is to transfer all the disks from the left rod to the right rod using the least number of moves, while adhering to these three rules:
- Only one disk can be moved at a time.
- Only the top disk can be moved to another rod, which may be empty or not.
- A larger disk cannot be placed on top of a smaller disk.
The game progresses through levels; each time all the disks are successfully moved to the right rod, the current level is completed, and a new level begins with an additional disk added to the left rod, increasing the complexity.
Upon completing a level, an end-level dialogue displays the following details:
- The number of the completed level
- The time taken to finish the level
- Whether a time record was achieved
- A 3-star rating based on:
- Achieving the minimal number of moves
- Completing the level without any errors or mistakes
- Setting a time record
To win the game, players must successfully complete all 7 levels. At the end, a results chart is presented, showcasing the times, records, number of correct and incorrect moves, the 3-star ratings earned for each level, and the achievements unlocked. The achievements include:
- The First 3 Stars: Awarded when the player earns their first 3-star rating.
- 3 Impeccable Levels: Awarded for achieving 3-star ratings on three consecutive levels.
- 4 Consecutive Time Records: Awarded when the player sets time records on four consecutive levels.
- ¡Unstoppable!: Awarded when the player sets time records on five levels.
- Game Completed: Awarded for completing all levels.
- Best Game Time: Awarded for finishing the game in the shortest possible time.
