When you venture out for any activity, Hibou allows you to easily check-in, letting your friends and family know your status. Utilizing advanced GPS technology and customizable timers, Hibou empowers you to engage in all your favorite activities without any worries. Whether you're climbing a local mountain, hitting the slopes for an afternoon ski session, or embarking on a global adventure, Hibou is there to support you. Simply activate the activity button in the app, set a timer for up to 24 hours, and enjoy your activity. Once you're safely back, end the timer with a tap. If you need more time, you can effortlessly extend the timer with a single button press.

In situations where you're in distress and unable to seek help on your own, Hibou steps in. If your timer runs out before you return, your pre-selected contacts will receive notifications with your last known location, ensuring that help is dispatched promptly.

Hibou also offers a daily automated wellness check service, providing your loved ones with peace of mind. You're prompted to report your status once or twice daily at scheduled times using the app, website, or phone system. If you miss a check-in, Hibou sends reminders via app notifications, emails, and phone calls. After a grace period and further reminders, if you still haven't reported, your designated circle members will be alerted about your missed check-in.

Additionally, Hibou features a help button that, when pressed, instantly sends your GPS location and a notification to your contact list. While calling 9-1-1 is crucial in emergencies, sometimes alerting your family and friends that you need assistance is the most appropriate action.
