Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Developer Working on New Feature to Track Challenges

Black Ops 6: Challenge Tracking and Separate HUD Settings Coming Soon

Treyarch has confirmed development of highly anticipated features for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, addressing key player concerns. A significant update is planned for later this month, and it's expected to include these improvements.

Firstly, in-game challenge tracking is "currently in the works." This feature, popular in Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6 at launch, leaving many players frustrated, particularly those pursuing Mastery camos. The implementation is expected to mirror Modern Warfare 3's functionality, providing a real-time in-game tracker for selected challenges.

Secondly, Treyarch acknowledges the need for separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes. The studio has confirmed this feature is also "in the works," eliminating the current inconvenience of switching HUD configurations between game modes.

This news follows a recent January 9th update which included various bug fixes for the UI and audio, along with XP adjustments for the Red Light, Green Light mode. The update also reversed a controversial change to Zombies mode, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawning mechanics after player feedback.

While a concrete release date for the challenge tracking and separate HUD settings remains unannounced, the upcoming Season 2 update later this month suggests these features may be included.
