Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change

Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies Directed Mode. Following community feedback, the January 9th update reverted a controversial alteration to zombie spawn delays, restoring them to approximately 20 seconds after five looped rounds. This reversal aims to maintain the fun and rewarding nature of the Zombies experience.

The update also includes several improvements:

• Citadelle des Morts Fixes: Numerous bug fixes were implemented for the Citadelle des Morts map in Directed Mode, addressing issues with quest progression, guidance inaccuracies, and visual effects. A crash related to the Void Sheath Augment and Elemental Swords was also resolved.

• Shadow Rift Buff: The Shadow Rift Ammo Mod received significant buffs, increasing activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with the Big Game Augment). The cooldown timer was also reduced by 25%.

• Additional Fixes: The update incorporated various stability improvements across the game, along with fixes for visual issues in the Events tab and audio problems with in-game milestone banners. A visual issue affecting Maya's "Joyride" Operator Skin was also resolved. Multiplayer received stability fixes and increased XP rewards for the Red Light, Green Light mode.

Looking Ahead:

Further bug fixes and adjustments are planned for the upcoming Black Ops 6 Season 2 update, launching January 28th. This includes resolving the Vermin double-attack bug. The update also expands the Dead Light, Green Light LTM, adding Liberty Falls to the map selection and increasing the round cap to 20.

Treyarch's response demonstrates a commitment to listening to player feedback and iteratively improving the Black Ops 6 experience. The team acknowledged that the initial changes were not well-received and swiftly acted to address the concerns.
