Author:Kristen Update:Jun 22,2025

Stealth plays a crucial role in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, and while it's often one of many viable approaches, some quests practically demand its use. “Storm” is one such mission — a pivotal chapter that bridges the Trosky Region to Kuttenberg, where your options are limited due to circumstances beyond your control. If you want to survive and succeed, mastering stealth becomes essential.

How To Start ‘Storm’ in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

“Storm” serves as a critical turning point in the Trosky Region’s story arc and marks your first journey into the Kuttenberg Region. Much like “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” this quest throws you into an unfavorable situation from the start. You’re stripped of your armor, weapons, and supplies — no Saviour Schnapps to fall back on — and your health and stamina are significantly reduced due to prior torture.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Storm Guard

As Katherine rescues you from captivity, you can scavenge basic gear from the fallen guards — nothing spectacular, but better than starting completely bare. Katherine also lends you her dagger, granting the ability to perform stealth kills. From here, your objective is to ascend to the top of the Crone in Trosky. While patrolling guards line your path, they’re spaced out enough that with careful movement, distractions, or takedowns, you should be able to pass undetected.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Storm Toth Taunts Henry

Upon reaching the summit, you’ll confront Istvan Toth. This encounter doesn’t affect your chances at the best ending, so if your combat skills are lacking, choosing a dishonorable approach might be your safest bet. Engaging him directly poses a serious risk, especially given your weakened state. Once he’s dealt with, search the room thoroughly for personal belongings and collect any important documents before moving on.

After handling Toth and recovering your items, return to the dungeon where your companions await. They’ll gather their gear and inform you about the escape tunnels. All you need to do is follow their lead — making this portion of the quest the most straightforward segment by far.

This is where “Storm” becomes genuinely challenging. Keeping your conspicuousness level as low as possible is key — being spotted can quickly escalate into a deadly situation. Guards will shout for backup, and facing multiple enemies while in poor condition is a recipe for disaster. Compounding the difficulty, your stats remain debilitated from earlier torture, making stealth kills and takedowns harder than usual.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Storm Mika Captured

Begin by taking the rightward path and continue uphill when it bends. This leads to a broader trail frequently patrolled by enemy forces. However, this route brings you to Mika, who has been captured. Approach silently from behind and eliminate the guard before freeing Mika. Doing so sets a checkpoint and provides you with valuable directions to your next objective.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Storm Final Location Map

Now begins the longest and most demanding stretch of stealth. Follow Mika’s instructions to locate key map markers, then head toward the edge of the region. Your goal is to travel east and southeast until reaching the main road in Apollonia, then proceed south along its perimeter. Stay off the road itself and use bushes and terrain features to stay hidden from patrols.

Although the marked area appears large, triggering the cutscene requires only reaching approximately halfway through the zone. Use stones to distract guards whenever possible, allowing you to slip past undetected. Once the cutscene plays, your part in this region concludes, and you’ll officially begin your journey into Kuttenberg.

“Storm” stands out as one of the few quests in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* where stealth isn’t just an option — it’s a necessity. If you’ve invested in stealth perks and trained your skills beforehand, you’ll find navigating this quest significantly easier. So, brush up on your sneaking abilities before diving in — it could mean the difference between success and repeated failure.
