R.E.P.O. is a co-operative horror game that challenges players with one primary objective: retrieve valuable items and survive the terrifying threats lurking in every corner. While the mission may sound straightforward, it’s far from easy—monsters spawn unpredictably throughout each level, hunting you relentlessly. However, if you manage to escape with your loot intact, the game rewards you handsomely through the menacing AI known as the Taxman, giving you the opportunity to invest your earnings into essential survival gear.
Successfully retrieving valuable items requires more than just locating them—you must reach the Extraction Point safely. Once there, your C.A.R.T. of treasures will be tallied up, allowing you to proceed to the Service Station where you can spend your hard-earned cash on upgrades and equipment.
As you continue playing R.E.P.O., the extraction process becomes more intuitive. What initially feels overwhelming will soon become second nature as you grow more familiar with the mechanics and master each level.
During your first round in R.E.P.O., only one Extraction Point will be available. As you progress and move between locations, this number increases—currently capping at four total drop-off points. You can track how many Extractions remain by checking the red counter located in the top-right corner of your screen. This display also shows how many have already been completed.

At the start of each level, the first Extraction Point will always appear near your R.E.P.O. truck. This consistent placement ensures you know exactly where to return your initial haul. However, subsequent Extraction Points are randomized, making navigation more challenging.
After completing your first drop-off, continue exploring the level as usual. At this stage, the Taxman will not reveal its next demand or location outright. Your best tool during this phase is the in-game map. Pressing “Tab” on your keyboard displays all unexplored areas, helping you plan efficient routes and coordinate with teammates.

You won’t discover the exact location of the next Extraction Point until you're close enough to either see or hear it. Once identified, approach and press the large red button to determine whether your current C.A.R.T. load meets the Taxman’s requirements. If it does, place your C.A.R.T. inside the designated area—ensuring all items are within the grey boundary zone to avoid destruction.
Depending on how many Extractions remain, you’ll either proceed to the next point using the same method or attempt to return to the truck safely. It's important to note that once you complete the final Extraction Point, there's no need to bring your C.A.R.T. back to the truck. A new one will automatically appear in the next level.
