Dune: Awakening Fixes Server Bugs in Early Access Update

Author:Kristen Update:Nov 15,2025

Dune: Awakening experienced temporary downtime earlier today as Funcom deployed a hotfix to enhance server stability and resolve several issues that emerged following the game's "head start" launch on June 5.

The primary focus was improving server performance (though specifics weren't provided), along with adding a pop-up notification clarifying that privately listed servers in the browser are externally managed. (For a full breakdown of private server features and limitations, our guide has all the details).

Dune: Awakening June 6 Hotfix 11.0.5 Patch Notes

Resolved a bug where rapid tab-switching (using Q/E keys) between base building menus could cause interface failures. Fixed regional server recommendations occasionally suggesting distant servers. Removed pentashield doors in Imperial Testing Station #002 to prevent players getting trapped in the boss arena. Addressed pathing issues causing NPCs in Arrakeen's social hub to freeze intermittently.

Funcom noted some fixes would apply immediately while others might require scheduled maintenance, advising players to monitor in-game announcements.

While our full review is pending, our hands-on beta session left strong impressions: "As Dune enthusiasts, we were thrilled by Funcom's expansive worldbuilding—even with its alternate-canon approach—where meticulous environmental details meaningfully impact gameplay," we noted in IGN's Dune: Awakening closed beta impressions.

"These thoughtful touches extend to faction dynamics and character interactions, creating genuine treats for franchise fans without venturing into spoiler territory."

The survival MMO has already attracted nearly 100,000 concurrent Steam players during early access. For deeper insights, explore the game's monetization strategy and roadmap, or reference our global launch timetable for regional availability.
